Next year will be historical for the Finnish road course sport as the biggest road course series Legend cars World Finals will be held in Finland. World Finals are organized outside the United States for the first time in 2017, at Botniaring raceway Southern Ostrobothnia to be specific.

Over 250 Legend cars are expected to arrive at Botniaring on 15th-17thn of September which makes it one of the greatest motorsport events in Finland in years. We will have competitors from all over Europe, Russia, Africa and the United States and the competitors with their crew will be around 2000 people alone. Next autumn’s world finals will for sure offer bunch of hardcore racing for the championship.

The organizer of Legend cars World Finals 2017 will be APR Competition Oy alongside with U.S. Legend Cars International. The officials will consist of U.S. Legend Cars International and local motorsport club Team Botnia members and volunteers. Visitors are guaranteed to enjoy themselves outside the racing as well with live music etc.

Behind the idea is APR Competition Oy CEO Johan Ahokas, a former Legends Trophy Finnish champion who has himself toured Legend cars World Finals in the US for a few years. Ahokas tells to first have planned Legend cars European Championship to Botniaring but that the U.S. Legend Cars International factory decided to go for World Finals straight up: ”U.S. Legend Cars International CEO and INEX CEO were visiting us at Kemora in 2015 getting to know the Finnish way of racing. I brought them to Botniaring raceway to get to know the place and our fantastic track, and they loved it so much they wanted to organize World Finals here”, says Ahokas with enthusiasm. ”We have a track that fills up international requirements. It is our intention to organize the greatest motorsport that Finland has ever seen!” Ahokas continues.
